PREVIEW OF CHAPTER 2 - SO YOU WANT TO FLY (FIRST DRAFT-UNEDITED)
Trolley dolly, Cart tart, Galley bitch doesn't exactly fit the description of the original glamorous title of 'Stewardess'. Predominantly now a female role, the history books tell us that a male by the name of Heinrich Kubis was the first steward, who began working solo on the smaller Zeppelin Airships in 1912. Later on, Kubis was a crew member of the well known larger Zeppelin Airship called the 'Hindenburg'. You may remember hearing of the Hindenburg Disaster, when in 1937 it caught fire and of the 97 people on board, 35 died. Interestingly, history also states that there were other steward's on board the HB and one of these a female by the name of Emilie Imhoff, who must have been the first 'stewardess'. Other research shows that a 25year old lady by the name of Ellen Church, a registered nurse, was the first 'Stewardess' hired by United Airlines in 1930........

At age 44, in the year 2003, a chance meeting took place with a man on a local ferry ride across the bay off Townsville. The words exchanged on that day were to change my life course forever and this is how I was granted my childhood dream of becoming a Flight Attendant, which finally came true.......This is my story
